Microsoft's Bill Gates Is Richest Tech Billionaire With $93.8 Billion Fortune (gulfnews.com)

Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them

And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me

Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve (Matthew 4: 8 – 10).

And the devil said unto him, All this power I  will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it (Luke 4: 6).
I will give you kingdoms and make you a king if you fall down and worship me

Satan brazenly continued with the temptation of  our Lord Jesus in the wilderness by SHOWING Him the kingdoms of the world and promising to make Him a King if He would just fall down and worship the adversary.

The Greek word for KINGDOMS is basileia and it comes from a root word which means KING and KINGS.

In other words,  Jesus was told that He would be made King over all the earth if He would bow down and worship Satan.

I will give you the power of the kingdoms of  the earth if you will fall down and worship me

Satan promised to give Jesus all the power of the kingdoms of earth in exchange for His worship. Exousia is the Greek word for power in the text and it means:
  • having authority over others under ones’ command – Matthew 8: 9
  • authority to give orders – Matthew 8: 9
  • power to delegate the same authority to rule to others – Mark 6: 7; Mark 13: 34
  • ruling over cities, nations or jurisdictions – Luke 19: 17, Revelation 2: 26
  • authority to judge – John 5: 27
  • authority to transfer spiritual gifts – Acts 8: 19
  • rights – Hebrews 13: 10
I will give you the glory of the kingdoms of the earth if you fall down and worship me

Satan also showed Jesus the glory/G1391/doxa of the kingdoms of the world. Doxa means honor. The root word for honor reveals how kings are perceived by themselves and others. They:
  • have reputation or status- Galatians 2: 2
  • seemed to be something – Galatians 2: 6
  • think himself (themselves) to be something – Galatians 6: 3
What does it mean to worship satan?

Satan also told the Lord to worship him in exchange for Kingship and honor from humans. The adversary presented an image of people falling down in worship in exchange for these goodies. In ancient times, people showed respect to persons in authority  by falling down before them,  falling on their faces, bowing the knee to them,  (Matthew 18: 26; Matthew 28: 9; Mark 15: 19; Acts 10: 25; 1 Corinthians 14: 25).

Scriptures reveal that Angels and saints in heaven worship God by falling on their faces.   Satan, the consummate copy cat, still fights to replace God in the hearts of humans and bribes them with promises of  power.  Scriptures warn us not to worship devils (Rev 9: 20).

I want to warn you that satan is indeed capable of rewarding his worshippers with the wealth and honor that he promises. However, it comes with a price, because the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord (Romans 6: 23).

We need to follow the Lord’s example and put satan in his place with the Word of God. The earth belongs to God, not satan and the Father has given possession of the earth realm to the human race.
Satan is a homeless angel who was cast out of heaven:
And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve (Luke 4: 8)
The earth is the LORD’S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein (Psalm 24:
 1)
What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?
For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.
Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet (Psalm 8: 4 – 6)

Not saying these guys sold out to Satan.

But I would venture to guess a few of them may not have their names written in the Lamb's book of life.

Just a hunch.

The "100 Richest Tech Billionaires In The World 2016" list has been topped by Microsoft founder Bill Gates with an estimated fortune of $78 billion.

https://www.forbes.com/sites/angelauyeung/2018/03/06/richest-in-tech-billionaires-2018/#23aa381d4f44

The titans on Forbes' second annual list of the world's richest in technology are worth a combined $892 billion, six percent more than a year ago.

Just over half of the 100 richest in tech are from the U.S., including eight of the top 10 richest on the list.

Forbes said the second richest person in tech Amazon founder and CEO Jeff Bezos is also the biggest gainer on the list this year and has an estimated $66.2 billion fortune, an increase of $18.4 billion since this list was released last year.

(currently https://www.forbes.com/profile/jeff-bezos/#664c0b681b23 )

That puts him ahead of Oracle chairman Larry Ellison, who comes in on the fourth spot.

Ellison was also beaten by Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg, who climbed from fourth to third place thanks to a 30 percent jump in the value of Facebook's stock; he is now also California's richest person, another title that previously belonged to Ellison.
