Has God Changed His Mind?

This question was presented specifically in relation to the text of bible. Has God, could God, would God change his mind? The short answer is no. “Because God wanted to make the unchanging nature of his purpose very clear to the heirs of what was promised, he confirmed it with an oath” (Hebrews 6:17).

This is clear that the nature of God is unchanging. Not to mention, timeless. If God exists outside of our world and not only that, but he existed without this world, then he is outside of time. He is not simply watching and He certainly is not learning.

This truly is the mystery of God. “Can you fathom the mysteries of God? Can you probe the limits of the Almighty?” (Job 11:7).

“Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom” (Isaiah 40:28).

We will not truly understand his mystery until the day we are called home to be with Him in heaven. Until then we can have confidence in his infallible, unerring and never-changing Word.

 John 14:18
I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.
