Studio Sets Their Software Free! Dreamworks SKG, after spending years developing specialized software used to make one of its most expensive movies ever, is giving it away to competitors.
The studio released onto the open market one of the primary tools used to create "Rise of the Guardians," a $145 million animated film set to hit theaters Wednesday.
